No more dolphin shows - No more dolphin drive hunts

Greatly loved but tortured: Dolphins die and suffer for entertainment

The dolphin has always been an extremely popular animal – long before the flipper boom started. People love him for its high sensitivity, his gentle nature and his supposed smile, which in fact is just the shape of his mouth fold. Dolphins also smile when they feel bad which is sadly often the case. Dolphins vegetate in bleak, tiled mini-pools, have to perform dubious tricks and are used for controversial therapies. Since dolphinariums are in constant need for “fresh blood”, tens of thousands of dolphins get slaughtered in Japan year after year. This dolphin slaughter remained unknown until the film "The Bay" revealed it to the world.
