Shaping the future for African children

Another project SAVE is significantly supporting is the Children's Center „Bana Ba Ditlou“ in Kasane. Near this town in northern Botswana, the world's largest elephant herds live and that is why the children's charity project is named "Bana Ba Ditlou" - "Children of the elephant." In cooperation with a church facility on site, we help those children in need.

Hope Kaza

Bana Ba Ditlou is located in the heart of the future Kaza National Park. Kaza is the abbreviation for "Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area" - a mega-park planned for all the African wildlife. Elephants are frequent in this cross-national park walking back and forth to their old migration routes. KAZA extends over five countries, including Botswana, Namibia, Angola, Zambia and Zimbabwe and is considered the world's largest protected area on earth. This unique mega park for animals also means a great opportunity for local people.

SAVE would like it to integrate its project site from the start because we are convinced that Kaza provides a great hope: a hope for a better future for people and animals.

SAVE has supported the project since the very beginning, helping to expand the center and continue to contribute financially.

With the successful help of donations and partnerships from other organizations SAVE is able to encourage the children educationally and motivate them creatively. SAVE will give them the chance for a better future and to give them the tools for future conservation work. More

The high costs were worth their price: to see shining children's eyes and motivated employees who were pleased with a new building. But the ongoing costs and the continued expansion of the project now need YOUR help.

These are the services SAVE provides

  • Daily care of currently about 120 children with meals and drinks
  • Psychological support and medical care
  • Promotion of children through play, sport and recreation in creative activities
  • Educational assistance through the promotion of individual skills
  • Continued education on values and awareness in the fight against AIDS and other diseases
  • Nature protection activities (wildlife viewing, bush survival, food and medicine, cooking, support for girls) and excursions to nearby national parks
