Our researcher, Torsten Bohm, who has traced the last remaining spotted hyenas in Gabon, sent us fantastic photos made by the remote controlled camera once again. This time the camera was activated when a leopard came about. It’s a lot of luck, as leopards, being active only by night, are among the most skittish animals which more often than not escape before a human being approaches them. It is the remote controlled camera, activated by the IR movement sensor, that makes such a picture possible. For the SAVE researcher it is an effective tool which enables him to prepare wildlife charts and classifications, especially on the areas which haven’t been under investigation yet.
